Hardwood
Manufactured from timber, hardwood is designed for use as flooring that serves structural or aesthetic purposes. Wood is a common selection due to the natural beauty, warmth, and ease of cleaning. Hardwood flooring is available in various cuts, styles, colours, and species. The good looks and longevity make it a great investment to the overall value of your home. |
ENGINEERED HARDWOOD
|
- Composed of two or more wood layers in the form of a plank.
- The top layer (lamella) is the visible wood when installed and is adhered to the core.
- Run each layer at 90* angle to layer above for increased stability.
- Can be installed over most properly prepared subfloors and is suitable for installation on all grade levels.
- Available in planks up to 7’in width.
- Most manufacturers require it to acclimate for a minimum of 72 hours prior to install.
- Room temperature should be 15.5 – 26.7*c, with relative humidity between 35 – 55%.
- Environmental conditions outlined by the manufacturer must be maintained for the life of the product.
- Can be installed using glue down, nail down, or floating install method and is suitable for under floor and radiant heating systems.
- Gloss levels for all hardwood floors are rated as matte (low), satin (medium) or gloss (high). A matte finish helps to maintain the floor’s appearance in high-traffic areas, while the high gloss finishes will add elegance to a formal space.

- Room temperature should be 15.5 – 26.*C, with relative humidity between 35 – 55%.
- Environmental conditions outlined by the manufacturer must be maintained for the life of the product.
